Some of the illustration work that I have done and am still working on. I am still trying to create a poster that best represents what my story is about – the lives of a bunch of youthful artists/designers. The office setting would probably be the best bet but I have not found any decent stock image of offices.

Most of the images except for the 109 building in the first picture were either photographed during my Japan trip or recreated in Photoshop.

Arai Co Ltd

Arai co. Ltd is a fictional department store chain I created for my manga. Arai Masayuki, the founder, is the dad of Satoshi, who works as a photographer for the fashion label 3 Kings. He also cameo-ed in one of my illustrations (though it’s just the back of the head). The development process in the rebranding of Arai will be covered in one of the chapters of my manga (though I haven’t got any done yet).

Winter in Ginza

Inspired by the Forever 21, Giorgio Armani, Tiffany & Co and Uniqlo buildings in Ginza. One reason I love Ginza is because of the many different types of architecture. It’s easy to get inspired just by strolling around that area, snapping pics of their buildings (and great ads).

Don’t you think the whole mood just changes when images are in black and white (or sepia)? Anyway, the image on the left is, if you have noticed, the background art for used in the previous illustration post while the one on the right is for an illustration that I’m currently working on.
